Mathematics Achievement Program at UCLA

MAP is a free math enrichment program geared toward high-achieving, underrepresented, economically disadvantaged students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Complimentary transportation and food will be provided if you are admitted to the program.

The goal of MAP is to:

●        Enhance grade-level math skills and increase confidence in math performance

●        Improve math knowledge that will impact overall performance in other college-ready subjects

●        Create hands-on projects through math modeling that connect to real-world applications, improving critical- thinking and problem-solving skills

●        Achieve early STEM awareness and identify potential careers in engineering and computer science

●        Keep parents engaged with regular communications, including information on scholarship and financial aid

MAP will admit 50 current eighth grade students to participate in the second cohort of the Mathematics Achievement Program beginning Fall 2023.2023 Mathematics Achievement Program Information
